Situation

When Walmart announced its sustainability program, much of the onus of implementing it fell on its vendors. Coca-Cola wanted to demonstrate that it supported the efforts of its largest customer, and take the lead in the democratization of sustainability.

Insight

Mediante la creación del concepto convincente, “amigo comprador”, se difundió el mensaje de sustentabilidad; no sólo conseguimos que Coca-Cola aumentará su espacio en mostrador, sino que también los colocó en nuevas áreas de las tiendas Walmart.

Solution

Green Team developed a suite of turn-key, easy to implement programs that educate Walmart shoppers and employees on energy and recycling issues, that coupled Coca-Cola products with CFLs, apparel, saplings and other non-beverage items.

Coca-Cola strengthened preferred vendor status and increased in-store product placement.
