The national tourism office of Peru wanted to increase awareness of Peru as a bird watching destination, and grow its email database.
Peru has over 1,700 species of bird, many endemic to the country. One way to show the different regions of Peru is to feature the birds of those regions.
We developed an online, interactive game which showcased many of the birds of Peru, with their habitats as a scenic background. The game was only part of a larger online sweepstakes promotion, Wings of Peru. We brought in commercial partners LATAM Airlines, ExOfficio and Inkaterra, plus an NGO partner, The Nature Conservancy. We used social media, bird watching influencers, and the partners’ owned media channels to promote the sweepstakes.
