Eileen is a sustainable tourism development specialist with over 18 years of experience managing tourism programs for USAID’s Global Sustainable Tourism Alliance and Conservation International.  

From strengthening visitor management in Ecuador’s national parks to developing community-owned  safari lodges in Botswana or curating cultural heritage experiences in the country of Georgia, Eileen’s success lies in her creativity and ability to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders on tourism planning and development.

Eileen has worked throughout Africa, Asia, Euraisa and Latin America, and authored Linking Tourism, Conservation and Communities: A Tourism Assessment Process. She holds a Masters of Tourism Administration from George Washington University, and has instructed George Washington University and UNWTO’s course on sustainable tourism.
